What is RFID Anti-Wandering System?
RFID Anti-Wandering System is a care system designed for residential care homes and residential care centers.
The system can automatically detect and alert residents with RFID tags who have left the home without permission.

Dementia
Information from 2016-2017 shows that the proportion of people aged 65 or above with ADHD in the total population of the same age group in Hong Kong ranges from 5% to 8%, while the proportion of people aged 80 or above ranges from 20% to 30%.
The study suggests that by 2039, more than 300,000 people aged 60 or above in Hong Kong will suffer from Cerebellar Degeneration.
RFID Anti-Wandering System
Widely used in inventory, asset tracking and theft prevention to improve efficiency and enhance security.
(1) Instant Detection
Elderlys will be affixed with RFID tags, which could be in the form of RFID cards or sewn onto sleeves, trouser legs, blouses or even the soles of shoes, as appropriate.
(2) Triggering Mechanism
RFID readers will be installed at key entrances and exits.
When the reader detects an unauthorised departure, it will immediately trigger relevant alerts for notifications.
(3) Notifications
When the reader detects the unauthorized departure, an alarm will be activated immediately.
Running Principles
The RFID antenna and reader transmit energy to the RFID tag via radio waves.
Each RFID tag stores an identifiable identification code (EPC), which is reflected back to the RFID antenna when the signal is received.
Once the signal is received by the antenna, it will be sent to the application server via the reader for recording or triggering an alarm.
